Purple flowers
Some little purple flowers from last year (i.e. 2011). Most of the pics are made using a Tokina AF 100mm f/2.8 AT-XM100 Pro D Macro, the others with a Nikon AF-S 55-200mm f/4-5.6 G ED DX VR.

Frog
The polarizing filter reduces the reflected light from some surfaces, i.e. roads, plants, windows and as you can see below, from the surface of the water. Generally speaking it absorbs the glare reflected from non-metallic surfaces.
The following images intend to present this reflection-reduction functionality.
