Purple petals

Unfortunately I don't have any idea what this little flower might be either, so please leave a comment with the correct answer.

Update: Paul Jurco solved my problem, this flower is the Bougainvillea. Thanks again.

Belly dancers

Only a few people know that the belly dance is as much known and practiced by men as by women, so please don't be surprised to see the following photos.

To be more specific the dance performed by the two dancers below is called Çiftetelli because the pictures were taken at an authentic Turkish night show.

Note: Unfortunately these pictures were taken on the same trip as the ones in the post called Damlatas cave, thus I did not have a tripod here either. This blur is even more increased by the resizing applied by the Blogger so please click on the images and take a look at them at their original size.

Red close-up

Update: OK, mystery solved, this is the Hibiscus.

Special thanks for Nóra for demystifying this and here's her prize: a little advertisement. Check out her cuisine blog at http://akisszucs.blogspot.com/, I'm sure you'll find some recipes for your taste (Hungarian knowledge or the usage of the Google translate is strongly advised).

Bug

I know, it would be nice from me to write here some facts about this little buddy and to provide a link to Wikipedia or something, but unfortunately I have no clue what this might be.

So if you have any ideas what this is please leave a comment.

Update: This might be some species of the Cicada. Thanks to Csongi for the idea.

Pamukkale

Pamukkale ("cotton castle" in Turkish) is a natural site in Turkey containing terraces which are made of travertine, a sedimentary rock deposited by water from the hot springs existing in the region. But this is not the only famous place to visit in this region, the ancient city of Hierapolis was built on top of this white castle.

Damlatas cave

The following pictures were taken inside the Damlatas cave in Alanya, Turkey.

Unfortunately they are a little bit blurry and also noisy. I didn't have my tripod with me. Huge mistake, I know... The colors are nice though so I hope you'll like them.

Wild river

Photo taken in Turkey somewhere in the Taurus Mountains in 2010. What is special about this river? We were rafting on it some hours after this shot was taken.
